I just scooped them all up with my hands. Most stayed on the shared Web suspended, but many hitchhiked on my bare flesh. Why, they could be crawling on me right now for all I know! :)

Do not ever come to the PNW if you are afraid of spiders. Ever. You cannot fathom how many spiders there are here.

I have always loved spiders, so it was a welcome surprise.

There is a distinct difference, though: Ours (mostly) won’t kill you.

The arachnophobes in this area are heavily preyed upon by exterminators. They annoy the hell out of me. There are also a lot of people that make a living by spreading lies about moss and killing it (Which is stupid -unless it’s backing water up under your roof shingles, it’s beneficial. It also does not kill grass, contrary to popular myths/lies.)... But the real reason to avoid it is that the weather is like the British Isles and the rain drives the locals to drink...a lot. We have many of the DUI capitols of the country up here.

people dont get that. had a bug guy come door to door offering to spray the house, I said I dont have a bug problem, he indicated to my porch light covered in spider webs “what about these?” I said spiders aren’t bugs, spiders are bug spray
